Norlights International School Oslo (NLIS)

Norlights International School Oslo, established in 2015, is a state-funded private school in Oslo, Skådalen. The metro is the closest neighbour to the premises on the Holmenkollen Line.

The school implements the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Program (PYP) and Middle Years Program (MYP). These programs offer high-quality and challenging education for a worldwide community of schools, aiming to create a better, more peaceful world. NLIS is authorized as an IB PYP and MYP World school.

Oslo is a city with a limited number of schools with English as the primary language of instruction intended for primary school children. By offering an international education, NLIS wants to contribute to society. The school opened its doors to 1st – 5th graders in 2015. The school provides all the grades from Grade 1 to Grade 10.

Norlights International School Oslo is one of four subsidiary companies under the Norwegian educational holding company Norlights Education AS.

The thing I like best about school is the opportunity for conceptual based learning. I get to learn the details of what I am learning and thus learn my subjects deeply. I also like the inquiry process at school. I get detailed answers to all my questions which helps me to have better understanding of what I am learning. I also like the various activities at school.
